St Joseph’s R.C. Primary
The junior choir, which is actually almost all the pupils in the junior class at St. Joseph’s competed in the “Last Choir Singing” competition on Friday 27th February at Westholme School and they won their heat. This means that they brought back to school a lovely Trophy and a cheque to spend at Reidy’s in Blackburn for £250. They are also in the next round of the competition which will be held at St. Georges Hall in June.

St John’s Church
FUN, FOOD AND FRIENDSHIP. Come along to an International Food Evening at St John’s Old School Hall, Hurst Green at 7.30pm on Friday 13 March in aid of the charity ‘Water Aid’. £5 will give you an evening of mouth-watering food and images from around the world with guest speaker Chris Wilcock who is talking informally about his time in Uganda with ‘Wateraid’ If you want to reserve a table or if you can help with food or transport please contact David Jacques 01254 878222. Come and be part of another community event where we have fun whilst helping some of the world’s most disadvantaged people.

AGM Memorial Hall
The Annual General Meeting of the Memorial Hall will take place on Monday 23rd march at 7.30pm. All are invited to attend. At this meeting the committee is elected and are always on the lookout for new members.
